Langdon & Emison attorneys Bob Langdon and Brett Emison will be guest lecturers at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Mo., on Thursday, November 17. The two have been invited to speak to current law schools on current trends for litigators.

Bob's presentation will focus on law practice management skills. He will address the variety of community service and bar assocaition leadership initiatives that a young lawyer should undertake to be good citizens and also responsible members of the bar.

Brett's presentation, "Social Networking in your Law Practice," will cover the latest trends in digital media and how they are affecting the legal profession. The lecture will include the latest examples of what has become titled "the Google mistrial," as well as the ethical implciations of social media for lawyers.

Both lawyers are proud alumni of the law school. Bob has endowed a scholarship for Mizzou students whose parents are union members, in honor of his father, who was a machinist. He has hired countless University of Missouri graduates throughout his career, and regularly donates to fundraising initiatives focused around the university.

While at law school Brett was the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review and received Order of the Coif honors. Following graduation, Brett worked as judicial law clerk for the Honorable William Ray Price, Jr. of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Earlier this year he was named an "Up and Coming Lawyer" by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, as one of the top young attorneys in the state.
