The Million Dollar Advocates Forum has added Langdon & Emison partner Brett Emison to its annual list of attorneys nationwide who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.

The Million Dollar Advocates Forum was established in 1993 and bills itself as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are invited to be members.

Many of the Forum's members have achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar results. Their practice areas include most areas of litigation, including: major personal injury, products liability, malpractice, construction, environmental, employment, insurance and business litigation. According to the organization's web site, "certification by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum provides recognition of such accomplishment and a national network of experienced colleagues for information exchange, assistance and professional referral."

Brett's practice focuses almost exclusively on catastrophic injury and death cases, including automobile defects, railroad crossing accidents (train accidents), trucking accidents,and a variety of other cases. As a partner at Langdon & Emison, Brett and his colleagues have tried cases against some of the largest corporations in the world, including all major auto manufacturers, railroad companies and trucking companies, as well as major pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Brett serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and is involved in a number of legal organizations, including the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), American Association for Justice (AAJ), Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA), and the Lafayette County Bar Association. Because of his and the firms vast experience in this area, he is regularly published by national trade publications on products liability and other contemporary topics in the law.
