Cory represents clients in litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States and has significant experience litigating matters, including toxic chemical exposure; electrical shock injuries; gas explosions; railroad accidents; and product defects that caused serious injury and death.
Cory served as one of the attorneys in Elsea v. U.S. Engineering, the first medical monitoring class action ever certified in Missouri. He also has significant appellate experience, having handled more than 100 appeals on a wide variety of issues ranging from protecting multimillion-dollar jury verdicts to criminal matters on behalf of the state of Missouri.
In 2015, Cory was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and for contributing to the largest civil settlement in Missouri. He also has been named to SuperLawyers for Missouri/Kansas, for his work in plaintiff's personal injury litigation. Prior to entering civil practice, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Zel M. Fischer at the Supreme Court of Missouri and as an Assistant Attorney General of the State of Missouri.
An Eagle Scout, Cory is a founding member of Young Friends of Community Services League, a service organization founded by Bess Truman. In 2015, he joined the board of directors for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation.
