L&E Partner Brett Emison to Present at AAJ 2016 Annual Convention

Langdon & Emison partner Brett Emison will present at the American Association for Justice 2016 Annual Convention on July 25 in Los Angeles. Mr. Emison will be featured on a distinguished panel of speakers at the Products Liability Section Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Program, presenting on the topic of “Evaluating Product Liability Cases: Do I Take the Case or Not”?

Mr. Emison will discuss factors to consider in evaluating a potential product liability case and will offer practical tips for identifying products cases involving post-collision fires; airbag and seat belt failures; seatback failures and reclined seats; roof crush and vehicle rollovers; and tire, brake and other auto product failures. During his presentation, he will also share experiences and lessons learned from various product liability cases Langdon & Emison has handled across 30 years of practice.

The CLE will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. PDT. Other CLE topics include providing liability of construction equipment rental companies and dealers for workplace accidents; pitfalls and ethics of co-counseling product liability cases; and bankruptcy issues in products liability cases.

The AAJ Annual Convention offers more than 300 events where legal industry leaders can join in lively exchanges and professional development opportunities. The convention will feature accomplished trial lawyers and experts discussing the latest developments in trial advocacy and specialized topics at more than 45 cutting-edge CLE programs designed to help lawyers better represent their clients.
