Langdon & Emison partners Bob Langdon and Brett Emison have earned “Lawyer of the Year” recognition by The Best Lawyers in America©, marking the fifth year in the last seven that Langdon & Emison attorneys have been recognized as “Lawyers of the Year” in the Kansas City region.

Taking top honors, Bob Langdon was named the Best Lawyers® 2019 Personal Injury “Lawyer of the Year” in Kansas City. For nearly 40 years, Bob has dedicated his practice to representing people who have been catastrophically injured or lost loved ones in accidents involving defective vehicles and consumer products and other instances of negligence.

Bob has served as lead counsel in some of the nation’s high-profile personal injury litigation, including cases against Ford/Firestone, General Motors and other large corporations. A leader in the profession, Bob has been inducted as a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and has received some of the nation’s highest honors for plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation.

In addition, Brett Emison was recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2019 Railroad Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Kansas City. Most recently, Brett served as lead attorney in a six-week trial that resulted in a $5.3 million jury verdict for a Chicago man who suffered severe injuries while working for the Metra railroad.

Brett focuses his practice on catastrophic injury and death cases as well as other complex tort cases involving vehicle defects, railroad crossing accidents, defective pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, and other cases. He has dedicated his career to personal injury litigation because he understands his clients’ lives have been turned upside down because of corporations’ negligent actions.

We congratulate Bob and Brett on these well-deserved honors!
