Langdon & Emison Promotes Three Attorneys to Partner

Langdon & Emison, a personal injury litigation firm with offices in Missouri and Illinois, announces the promotion of attorneys Tricia Campbell, Brennan Delaney and Michael Serra to partner, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

“We congratulate these attorneys on this well-deserved promotion,” said founding partner Bob Langdon. “Since joining the firm, these attorneys have made substantial contributions to Langdon & Emison’s success and have distinguished themselves as attorneys and members of the legal community.”

Campbell focuses her practice on mass tort litigation and representing clients in personal injury and product liability cases nationwide. She provides day-to-day oversight of the firm’s mass torts litigation department and has played a lead role in expanding the firm’s mass torts docket and growing the overall department.

Since joining the firm in 2017, Campbell has helped litigate cases totaling more than $92 million in settlements, including Langdon & Emison’s largest mass tort settlement to date. She was recently appointed to multidistrict litigation leadership for a mass tort consolidated in the Western District of Missouri.

Campbell serves on the board of directors for the Association of Women Lawyers–Kansas City and shares vice-chair responsibilities on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Torts Law Committee. She was selected as a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorney in Missouri and Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer for Kansas in 2019. In addition, Campbell was named an Up & Coming Lawyer and Women’s Justice Award honoree by Missouri Lawyers Media in 2019 and 2018, respectively.

Delaney joined Langdon & Emison in 2015 and focuses his personal injury practice on cases involving product liability, premises liability, dram shop liability and other areas. Delaney has played a critical role in a substantial number of cases that have yielded more than $40 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients.

He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch”; a Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys; and a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer for Missouri by the National Trial Lawyers. Delaney is an active member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and serves on the Law School Alumni Board for the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Since joining Langdon & Emison in 2015, Serra has focused his practice on an array of personal injury litigation, including product liability, premises liability, railroad accidents and other forms of negligence. He has been a major contributor on cases and trials totaling more than $128 million in verdicts and settlements.

In 2020, Serra was selected as a National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 honoree in the category of civil plaintiff’s litigation and was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch.” In addition, he has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. Serra is an active member of the American Association for Justice, Attorneys Information Exchange Group, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

“These new partners have emerged as proven leaders within our firm and the legal community,” said founding partner Kent Emison. “We view them as critical to positioning Langdon & Emison for continued growth and sustainability and providing exceptional legal representation to our clients for many years to come.”
