Michael Manners Receives ICON Award in Saint Louis

Partner Michael W. Manners received an ICON Award on Wednesday in Saint Louis for his career as a trial lawyer and judge.  Missouri Lawyers Weekly presented its 2022 ICON Award recipients with their awards at the Missouri Athletic Club.  The awards honor lawyers for their distinguished careers and notable contributions to the Missouri legal community.

Mike was a Circuit Court Judge in Missouri, and prior to his appointment he spent 24 years as a trial attorney with the firm that eventually became Welch, Martin, & Albano. In 1989 Mike was granted a Certificate of Civil Trial Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a process that is open to trial lawyers who have experience as lead counsel in a number of jury trials after background investigation and written examination. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy, an organization of trial attorneys representing members of both the plaintiffs’ and defense bar.

Mike has been a frequent lecturer at educational forums for trial judges and continuing legal education programs for attorneys. Having served as president of both the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, Mike is committed to serving the legal profession and his clients.
