Toyota: 1.7 Million Vehicles in United States Must be Recalled Due to Takata Airbags
In the newest move related to the dangerous Takata airbag, Toyota announced it is recalling 1.7 million vehicles in North America to replace potentially deadly Takata front passenger air bag inflators. This includes 1.3 million vehicles in the U.S. and is part of the largest series of automotive recalls in the nation’s history.

Eight automakers have agreed to recall 12 million additional vehicles in the U.S. over potentially defective airbags manufactured by Japan-based Takata, adding to what already was the largest auto recall in U.S. history.
