
Karen Crouch
Karen’s legal experience spans multiple areas of law and various professional settings.
She is a dedicated legal professional who earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in May 2025. Most recently, she gained hands-on courtroom experience through the Criminal Practice Clinic at the Callaway County Prosecutor’s Office, where she learned Missouri Criminal Procedure and advocated on behalf of the State. During her spring externship at the U.S. Prosecutor’s Office in Jefferson City, she developed strong legal writing skills by drafting jury instructions, sentencing memos, and research memoranda while also working on oral advocacy techniques.
As a Summer Clerk at Langdon & Emison in Kansas City she earned a broad exposure to civil litigation. Here she drafted motions, briefs, petitions, and court orders while conducting research across multiple jurisdictions. Throughout law school, Karen demonstrated exceptional leadership and advocacy skills, serving as the 3L Representative for the Student Bar Association and as Judging Director for the Board of Advocates during her final year. Karen has been recognized through prestigious honors including the Order of the Barrister, the Leader of Tomorrow award from the Missouri Lawyers Media Association, and the Fred L. Howard Prize for Excellence in the Advancement of Advocacy.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to service and leadership. Her involvement with organizations such as the Journal of Dispute Resolution, American Constitution Society, and Women’s Law Association reflects her dedication to the legal profession and her peers. Karen’s volunteer work at Sacred Heart from 2018-2020 further exemplifies her commitment to community service.
Karen’s legal education was built upon a strong academic foundation from Creighton University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theology, complemented by a minor in Public Policy. At Creighton, she consistently achieved Dean’s List recognition from 2019 through 2022 while balancing the demanding schedule of a Division I rower. As team captain during her senior year, she honed essential leadership skills by coordinating travel plans for forty team members, managing relationships with donors, and serving as the vital communication link between coaching staff and athletes. Her athletic achievements included West Coast Conference First Team honors and four consecutive years as a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete.
