Sara devotes her practice to representing people and families whose lives have been changed by catastrophic injury or wrongful death.

Sara is an associate attorney in Langdon & Emison’s Complex Torts division, working from the firm’s Kansas City office. She serves on trial teams handling motor vehicle collisions, product liability claims, and professional malpractice. Her focus is helping seriously injured clients and their families get answers and hold the responsible parties accountable.

Sara came to the firm with experience on both sides of the bench. She clerked for Judge Roseann Ketchmark in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. There she drafted orders, assisted with discovery hearings, status conferences and pretrial conferences, supported civil and criminal trials, and mentored interns. She also clerked for Judge Mark Pfeiffer at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. Those clerkships gave her a close view of how judges evaluate cases, which she now brings to her clients’ litigation.

Before law school, Sara worked as a legal analyst reviewing discovery documents for a pharmaceutical company. She was also a senior management analyst for E3 Federal Solutions, where she worked on facility security assessments.

In 2025, Sara was named to The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40. She received the Missouri Lawyers Media Up & Coming Award in 2024.

Sara earned her J.D. from the UMKC School of Law, where she was a staff member of The Urban Lawyer. She graduated magna cum laude from Truman State University with a degree in Spanish.
