Summer represents individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from dangerous and defective products, auto and commercial vehicle collisions, and unsafe premises. She focuses her practice on product liability, premises liability, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, ATV and UTV accidents, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and matters involving municipal and governmental liability. Summer’s diverse background allows her to guide clients through complex cases with clarity and practical, straightforward advice.

Before joining Langdon & Emison, Summer spent five years in the Kansas City, Missouri City Attorney’s Office. There, she defended the City in tort litigation, workers’ compensation matters, contract disputes, assault and battery claims, and tax-related cases. This experience gives her unique insight into how government entities and insurance carriers evaluate and defend injury claims—insight she now leverages to advocate effectively for injured clients.

Summer began her legal career in private practice, representing clients in family law matters including dissolutions, modifications, child custody disputes, and ex parte actions. Working closely with individuals during some of the most challenging times in their lives strengthened her commitment to client-centered advocacy and sharpened her skills in negotiation, litigation, and crisis response. That experience continues to inform her work representing individuals and families facing catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, allowing her to provide not only strategic legal advocacy but also compassionate guidance during life’s most difficult moments.

In addition to her practice, Summer is committed to serving her community. She serves on the board of House of Hope in Lexington, Missouri, a nonprofit that provides emergency shelter and support services to survivors of domestic and sexual assault. She is also actively involved in the legal community as the Young Lawyers Co-Chair for the Association of Insurance and Excess Counsel (AIEG).

Summer’s work has been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, which named her an Up & Coming attorney in 2022 and honored her with the Women’s Justice Award for Litigation Practitioner in 2026. Whether she is handling a complex product liability case, a serious auto accident, or a claim involving a governmental entity, Summer is dedicated to pursuing justice and meaningful results for the people she serves.
